Max Braun began manufacturing entire radio sets.

The Braun brand was introduced, and the familiar logotype with the raised “A” took form.
1950
The early 50s saw BRAUN patent the first electric shaver “S 50”, the “MX3” mixer, and the “Multimix” blender.
1951
Max Braun's sons Artur and Erwin took over company leadership.
1963
The elegant 'HT2' toaster was designed, which even inspired the famous artist Richard Hamilton to create his art piece, 'Toaster'.
1967
The company focused on designing household consumer appliances such as shavers, razors, coffee makers, clocks and radios.
1988
Gillette decided to transform Braun AG into a private company.
1996
The company bought U.S. manufacturer of infrared thermometers ThermoScan.
2005
BRAUN became a subsidiary of Procter & Gamble.
2013
Apple Inc. took inspiration from the design of BRAUN watches to create the iOS 7 World Clock App in addition to more models. Coincidentally, Dieter Rams had emphasized - in the past - that aside from BRAUN, Apple was one of the few companies that managed to best exemplify his philosophy.

In recent years, The BRAUN watch collection has won 5 iF awards, 7 Red Dot Design Awards and 4 Good Design Awards, thus reaffirming the outstanding and innovative design of its products.
